Greater Filter Capacity
More capacity means more engine protection. The PowerCore air filter has
over 16 times more media surface area than washable filters, and 3 times the
media surface of conventional filters. The PowerCore air filter has five
times more dust holding capacity than washable/reusable air filters and
twice the capacity over premium quality traditional filters. Greater
capacity also means changing filters less often, even in more severe service
situations. When the restriction gauge on the PCIS73 reads in the red zone,
change the filter as soon as possible.
Greater Filtering Efficiency
This filtration system delivers huge
reductions in engine wear rates.
The Donaldson air induction system is three times more efficient than the
industry-leading cellulose media, because Donaldson is the world leader in
nanofiber filtration technology. The layered nanofiber structure from PowerCore
technology is totally non-metallic and allows for an incredible 99.95 percent efficiency
at 3 microns.
Two decades ago, SAE research paper 881825 documented that this level of
filtration would eliminate nearly all measureable engine wear, and your air
filter is how most wear particles get into your engine. This highly efficient Donaldson PowerCore air filter is the only
aftermarket induction system that is approved by Ford Motor Company.
Easy Installation Kit
The new air induction system kit comes with the air filter box fitted with a
PowerCore
filter, air restriction gauge, temperature sensor, air inlet duct,
battery blanket, battery box plate, necessary fasteners and complete
installation instructions. The kit installs in only 35 to 40 minutes and is
complete:
there are no extra parts to buy.
John Deere and Freightliner Applications
AMSOIL now offers
Donaldson
PowerCore filters for John Deere and Freightliner applications. These
OEM-recommended filters feature the same rugged, fluted design available in
previously introduced PowerCore filtration products. The primary filter
available for the John Deere 6020 Series fits both the four cylinder and six
cylinder models, however the four cylinder and six cylinder tractors cannot
use the same secondary filter.

OIL FILTERS:
Until now, Nanofiber filtration technology has been used exclusively in heavy duty applications, including the US ARMY Abrams M1 tank. AMSOIL Ea Filters are the first and only filter line to bring this technology to the auto/light truck market. EaO nanofiber oil filters provide unmatched full-flow filtering efficiency to 98.7 percent at 15 microns, and 50 percent at 7 microns. This translates to a 70% reduction in engine wear rates, while giving longer filter life and lower pressure drop for better cold-start performance: the only filtration that gives you the best performance in every category! Compare that to the filters lining the auto-parts shelves, which don't tell you their common 7,500 mile design life and either won't tell you what micron level their efficiency rating is for, or they claim a micron particle size without stating an efficiency: deceptive, meaningless numbers.
Additionally, consider bypass filtration systems for commercial and fleet applications in cars and light, medium and heavy trucks which can filter particles down to less than one micron and are 89% efficient at 1 micron, making oil changes virtually unnecessary and virtually eliminating engine wear. (A standard full-flow oil filter can only filter to 20 microns with any reasonable efficiency, but 5-25 microns is widely accepted as the wear-particle size range.) Easy to install, these oil filter systems have been proven by millions of miles of over-the road trucks, construction equipment and fleet service. And we use these on our personal diesel pickup trucks: my Duramax 2500HD has over 70,000 miles since the last oil drain, the oil analysis looks perfect, and the appearance of this diesel oil looks like a gas engine with 3,000 miles on the oil.
